Samir Suleymanov is a seasoned global development, strategy, and finance expert with deep experience in infrastructure, circular economy finance, and economic transformation across emerging and developed markets. He currently leads strategic initiatives at major international institutions and has held senior executive roles at the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, where he shaped corporate strategy, governance reforms, and large-scale financing frameworks over a career spanning more than two decades. Samir has also been instrumental in designing and delivering the finance agenda for COP28, including the creation of landmark sustainability investment vehicles and frameworks to unlock capital for clean technologies. He serves on boards and advises institutional and industrial organizations on energy transition, infrastructure investment, and institutional reform. Samir holds a B.S. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and an MBA from George Washington University. He brings deep global financial networks and cross-sector strategic insight to support TEP’s expansion, particularly across the Middle East energy and infrastructure landscape.
